Hello I am Jens Peter Johnsen. I have the great pleasure to introduce my first single album: A Way of Life. It was written at Odder folk high school in Denmark in spring 2007, during classes in music and lyrics. After a lot of thoughts in the class I didn't know what to write about. But suddenly I was thinking about a trucker song from the states and then about my work as a truck driver. Then I started in the morning with the song and it turned out to end at the end of the day. The themes in the song are about what gives me the inspiration to be a truck driver and which positive experience there comes out of the job. It helps me to accept my job in a better way; it makes me think positive about my job. It's very easy for me to think, that the grass is greener at the neighbour, but maybe that's not always the truth… think about that… I have thought about it. After I finished the text and put chords on it, my teacher decided we should play it with the hole band on the school, I was actually quit surprised and also very happy. Then I chose, I wanted the lead vocal. I thought, you only getting better if you practice. We played the song at four different arrangements, during the school period, with success I would say…smile… And before the school end we made a recording of the song in the music room.
